Abstract:As the main bearing structure of pumping units, the horse head suffers a long-term alternating load in site work and experimental use. At the throat, some partial small cracks are easy to appear and even to extend,which is the main cause for the tear damage there.Aiming at the above problem of the horse head of CYJ5-1.8-18HPF pumping units,the paper analyzes the model of the horse head with mechanics theories to and carries on the finite element calculation of it by using ANSYS simulation environment.Then according to the result of finite element calculation,the paper puts forword an improvement project for stress concentration places.By comparison, the improved finite element calculations is: the maximum stress of the horse head is reduced from 141Mpa down to 89 Mpa. The improved horse head can meet operating requirements. In consequence, the simulation result is of certain guiding significance to the design and improvement of pumping units.
