Research on experiment about some new additives influenced hydrate solution surface tension

Abstract:The gas hydrate have unique physicochemical properties, and a series of high-tech applications can be developed from these. But facing the primary technological bottlenecks on slow rate, high temperature-pressure condition and the actual low gas storage capacity within hydrate formation, all of the applied technology is still stuck in the laboratory research stage. Therefore, the most critical is the study on hydrate formation promotion technology. In this experiment, using some new additives CTAB、P123、[HMIPS]Ss as the hydrate solution additive, testing the new additives in different temperature and different concentration rained influence on hydrate solution surface tension, to judge the quantitative relationship between additives promotion the process of hydrate generation and surface tension. Research findings 300mg/kg CTAB reduce the surface tension best, then the second is 500mg/kg P123, finally is 300mg/kg [HMIPS]Ss. This study provide theoretical and data support for research on promotion of hydrate generation in t he future.
